Several members of the mainstream media have reported that Thomas Tull, a movie mogul, either withdrew his bid for the Padres or was told his bid wasn't good enough. Earlier reports also had multi-billionaire Steve Cohen interested in buying the Padres. I queried an MLB source on both stories. Here's what he said: "Certainly it will not surprise me to see Tull's name surface again at some point. I don't think Cohen ever was interested."
