Dodgers perspective

I think the Dodgers underachieved in many of the years that Larry Lucchino and John Moores ran the Padres together and on into the 2000s. Those days are long gone. I wouldn't necessarily call the Dodgers shrewd or efficient, but they seem more formidable organizationally than in those days when the "Lucchino Padres"  took a few playful jabs at the Dodgers and outpaced them to win two NL West titles (and an NL pennant). My story on the subject ran last week at utsandiego.com.
